St. Andrew's – Cambridge
Tuition
The academic success of St. Andrew’s is based on good teaching
given in small groups and we have a staff/student ratio that means
that classes rarely have more than 9 students. St. Andrew's emphasises
the importance of individual attention to cater for each student's
particular needs. St. Andrew's teachers are well qualified and many
have a long commitment to the College. Teaching methods focus on
the development of effective study skills and a thorough preparation
for examinations.
The College depends on good examination results to enable its
students to enter the top universities. Since its foundation over
2 000 have entered university including the Universities of Cambridge
and Oxford.
The College continues to achieve a high level of success and aims
to place all students in the most prestigious British and international
universities. The College sends parents, guardians and sponsors reports
on academic progress at the end of each term. Reports also contain
information on attendance and give advice to students on ways of
improving their academic performance.
Each student has a personal supervisor who monitors progress, gives
support and encouragement as needed and keeps parents or guardians
informed about all matters concerning the student's welfare and
academic achievements
Since
its foundation thousands of our students have succeeded in obtaining
places at some of the most prestigious universities in Britain,
including Cambridge and Oxford. In recent years St. Andrew's has
achieved a success rate of between 95% -100% in placing at universities
all those students seeking higher education. Guidance is given to
students on all aspects of the university application process. This
includes help with the completion of the UCAS form and advice on
the choice of university and course. Particular help and advice
is offered to students applying for the more competitive subjects
such as Medicine, Dentistry, Veterinary Science and Law.
